Самолет с индийскими паломниками разбился на севере Непала

Пятнадцать пассажиров погибли в результате крушения самолета авиакомпании Agni Air с индийскими паломниками на севере Непала. Еще шесть человек пострадали, некоторые из них находятся в очень тяжелом состоянии, сообщает агентство AFP со ссылкой на местную полицию.

«Самолет должен был приземлиться в аэропорту Джомсом, расположенном примерно в 200 км северо-западнее Катманду. Но врезался в склон.Пятнадцать человек погибли. Тринадцать из них были индийские туристы, еще два — непальские пилоты», — сообщил представитель местной полиции.

Пассажиры зафрахтовали полет из центрального туристического центра Покхара в Муктинатх, священного место для индуистов и буддистов. По последней информации среди пассажиров могли оказаться двое граждан Дании, но эта информация сейчас уточняется

Воздушные путешествия популярно в Непале. Многие религиозные общины имеют культовые сооружения в горах и к ним можно попасть только пешком или по воздуху.

Однако авиакатастрофы частое явление в Непале. Так в сентябре прошлого года разбился самолетом с туристами, который вылетел на обзорную экскурсию вокруг Эвереста. В результате чего погибли все 19 человек на борту.
